Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that registration is now officially open for the

6th meeting of the IOBC WPRS Working Group
“Benefits and Risks of Exotic Biological Control Agents (BREBCA)”

which will take place

14-17 September 2026

at the Edmund Mach Foundation

in San Michele all’Adige, Trento, Italy.

The meeting will bring together scientists, practitioners, and policymakers to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and advance the safe and effective use of exotic biological control agents (BCAs).

The meeting program will address the following thematic sessions:

Session 1 - From Risk Assessment to Governance of Exotic BCAs

Session 2 - Rapid and Responsible Deployment of EBCAs

Session 3 - Ecological Interactions and Long-Term Dynamics of EBCAs

Session 4 - Innovative Tools and Approaches for EBCA Safety and Specificity

Session 5 - Integrating EBCAs into Sustainable Pest Management Systems

Session 6 - Emerging Issues and Cross-Cutting Perspectives in Biological Control
