At the Trentino stand  on July, 28th and 29th, FEM researchers Valerio Mazzoni and Livia Zapponi talked about new sustainable technologies for the control of harmful insects, in particular vibrational traps and vineyards.
Moreover last Thursday, July 28th, Mazzoni and Zapponi were also protagonists of a Workshop entitled "Applied Biotremology for pest control in vineyards and apple orchards: vibrations vs insects.", which was organized as part of the Agriculture Forum. On this occasion they talked about vibrational traps against the Asian bedbug and vibrational confusion against the scaphoid. CRI researchers illustrated how such techniques work and showed some prototypes developed thanks to FEM contribution.
Daniela Pedrotti (Trentino Sviluppo) moderated the Workshop, which and saw a huge participation of people, mostly producers and representatives of BIO farming companies who asked several questions about the new systems proposed.
FEM is confirmed to be one of the most important reference centers of biotremology applied to the protection of agricultural plants from harmful insects.
