Mission

Generating new knowledge and modeling the ecological-environmental factors affecting the emergence and spread of zoonoses.

Innovation and methods

A multidisciplinary approach is applied, from field studies on population ecology and host-parasite interactions, to the analysis of big data to produce predictive models of zoonotic disease risk (in collaboration with: the Animal, Environmental and Antique DNA Platform, Computational Biology Unit).
